01 · How To Use This GuideThe Word · Messaging Guide

One guide. Every voice.

This document is written for everyone who speaks or writes for THE WORD FOR ALL THE WORLD: leadership, team members, volunteers, and outside writers, designers, and agencies. It assumes no tribal knowledge. If you have never worked with us before, this guide is enough.

The Brand Guide (v4.5) governs how we look. This guide governs what we say. The two are companions: Law II (everything is a record), Law III (one house, named front doors), and Law IV (the institution signs its work) apply to words exactly as they apply to design.

The rule of rule: where wording in any older document, website, deck, or social post conflicts with this guide, this guide wins. Changes to this guide happen one way: proposed in writing, approved by Joel and Nathan, recorded in the changelog (Section 12 of the document below).

02 · The FoundationThe Word · Messaging Guide

One public line.
Three pillars behind it.

In public (websites, decks, one-liners, introductions) the mission speaks as a single fused line. Internally, that line stands on a Purpose, a Mission, and a Vision. Both are canon. The fused line is what the world hears; the pillars are what the house is built on.

The Public Mission Line · Use This Everywhere
Strengthening the local church to fulfill the Great Commission, until EVERY1 knows the name Jesus.
Purpose
To build a real relationship with Jesus. To please God, walk with Jesus, and minister to Him.
Mission
To strengthen the local church to do the Great Commission. Fire starts fire. We burn for Jesus in locations across the world, and they catch it, because they're dry enough.
Vision
Every tribe, every tongue, every nation, and EVERY1, will know the name Jesus.
Hebrews 8:11
03 · The Three InitiativesThe Word · Messaging Guide

One journey.
Three named front doors.

Clean, Burn, Train, in that order. Each initiative has its own messaging document on official letterhead.

Brand Messaging Guide

The single source for what this ministry says, to whom, and in what words. Where wording conflicts anywhere else, this document rules.

01Foundation

The Foundation

The public mission line, used everywhere:

Strengthening the local church to fulfill the Great Commission, until EVERY1 knows the name Jesus.

Purpose. To build a real relationship with Jesus. To please God, walk with Jesus, and minister to Him.

Mission. To strengthen the local church to do the Great Commission. Fire starts fire. We burn for Jesus in locations across the world, and they catch it, because they're dry enough.

Vision. Every tribe, every tongue, every nation, and EVERY1, will know the name Jesus. (Hebrews 8:11)

The rally cry. EVERY1 Will Know The Name Jesus.

The lead narrative. Every generation seeks a revival. No one told them it is already here.

Revival is not a hope we are waiting on. It is a fact we are announcing. All messaging flows downstream of this posture.
02The Record

The Prophecy

Received before the ministry had a name for what it would become. It is quoted exactly, in full, or not at all. Never paraphrased, never excerpted for effect. Set in the record register per Brand Guide §08.

The Word · A Prophecy
As tensions grow between man and foe, the light of THE WORD is needed. No peace they'll find, they'll react in kind, until THE WORD is heeded. But great peace have they that love God's Law, and in that Word their reflections saw — and went forth knowing the enemy is defeated.
03The Record

How It Began

This is the canonical telling of the origin story. Tell it this way: in interviews, on the About page, from the stage. Bracketed fields are pending verification against the ministry record; per Law II, nothing unverified enters a founding document. Verify, unbracket, done.

In [2024], Joel Zimmer traveled to Uganda alongside [Inspiring Better Business]. As he stepped off the plane, a man named [David Kamanzi] met him with one question: "Will you help me train my people?" That question was the first seed of the School of the Local Church. Later that year, the Lord spoke: go back to Uganda, and this time, hold a pastors conference. The conference was held. The fire caught. We have been going back ever since. Uganda is for Jesus. So is the rest of the world.

The prophecy (December 2019) precedes the first trip: the word came first, then the door opened. When telling the full story, keep that order.

04Identity

What We Are, What We Are Not

The name THE WORD FOR ALL THE WORLD invites assumptions. Messaging corrects them plainly, without being defensive: one clear sentence and move on.

We are:

  • A Spirit-led ministry that strengthens local churches to do the Great Commission.
  • A servant of the local church: we come to serve their house, not build ours.
  • Evangelists and trainers: we preach, we stir, we equip, and we leave the church stronger than we found it.

We are not:

  • Not a Bible translation ministry. "THE WORD" is the Word preached, not the Word translated.
  • Not a denomination. We plant fire, not flags.
  • Not a replacement for the local church. If there is no local church to partner with in an area, we hold off. Our goal is never to create spiritual orphans.
05Filters

Values, Uniques & Guarantee

Four core values, three uniques, one guarantee. These are not slogans; they are filters. Content that violates a value gets killed no matter how good it looks.

  • Burn For Jesus. We burn with the passion of our relationship with Jesus and with His mission, the Great Commission.
  • Spirit-Led. Our spirit has the final say. We never violate it, and we always fear the Lord. Words are stewarded to build, edify, and impart life.
  • Selfless Love. Not concerned about credit, fame, or name recognition. Servant leadership: promoting and developing others first.
  • Full of Faith. We challenge giants with the Word of God and take the Kingdom by the force of faith.

Three uniques. The Holy Spirit is our PR man. We communicate frequently. Partnership is our strength.

The guarantee. The Holy Spirit runs our services.

"The Holy Spirit is our PR man" is internal and partner-facing language. In public copy, say it the way the guarantee says it: the Holy Spirit runs our services. There is no routine He can't interrupt.

The Message Architecture

The believer is the hero. We are the guide. That order never flips. Messaging never makes THE WORD the hero of the story.

ElementCanonical language
The heroThe local church and the believer. They want a real, active relationship with Jesus and to walk in their purpose, but they feel dry, distracted, or asleep.
The problemExternal: the church is asleep and the fire has gone out. Internal: "I know there's more to this walk with Jesus. I just don't know how to get there." Philosophical: the world is waiting for the Church to wake up.
The guideTHE WORD FOR ALL THE WORLD. We don't bring hype. We bring hunger. The Holy Spirit runs our services, and fire starts fire.
The planCLEAN · BURN · TRAIN: Revival To My City wakes the church, the EVERY1 Movement sends it, the School of the Local Church roots it.
The callPrimary: join the movement: host a Revival To My City, join EVERY1, enroll in the School. Transitional: watch a testimony, join the prayer meeting, take the free personal evangelism course.
The stakesIf the church stays asleep, people keep searching for life in all the wrong places and entire cities stay unchanged.
The successBelievers become bold, the Great Commission is fulfilled, cities are transformed. The world knows Jesus.
One sentence
THE WORD FOR ALL THE WORLD strengthens the local church to fulfill the Great Commission, until EVERY1 knows the name Jesus.
One paragraph
~55 words
THE WORD FOR ALL THE WORLD is a Spirit-led ministry that strengthens the local church to fulfill the Great Commission. Through Revival To My City, the EVERY1 Movement, and the School of the Local Church, we stir believers back to their first love, send them to the lost, and train them to walk with Jesus, until EVERY1 knows the name Jesus.
The full telling
~100 words
THE WORD FOR ALL THE WORLD began with a prophecy and a question on a Ugandan tarmac: "Will you help me train my people?" We are a Spirit-led ministry that strengthens the local church to fulfill the Great Commission. We don't replace the local church. We serve it. Through Revival To My City we stir congregations back to their first love. Through the EVERY1 Movement we send EVERY1 in the church to EVERY1 outside of it. Through the School of the Local Church we train believers to know their authority in Christ and build a real relationship with Jesus. Fire starts fire, until EVERY1 knows the name Jesus.
07The Plan

The Journey: Clean · Burn · Train

The three priorities are a sequence, not a menu. A heart is cleaned, then it burns, then it is trained to keep burning. All journey messaging honors this order.

  • CLEAN · Revival To My City. Stirring the local church to return to their first love.
  • BURN · EVERY1 Movement. Empowering the local church to do the Great Commission and walk in God's calling.
  • TRAIN · School of the Local Church. Training the local church to know their authority in Christ and build a real relationship with Jesus.

How one weekend tells the whole story. We arrive in a city Thursday or Friday. Evenings are Revival To My City services: worship, preaching, altar calls, healing, testimonies captured. Hearts get cleaned out by the power of God. Saturday morning is the EVERY1 interest meeting: what the movement is, how to join, and the first outreach. Participants personally evangelize in the community that same morning. From there, they sign up for the School of the Local Church, starting with the free personal evangelism course. One person can be in all three at once, and often is.

Each initiative carries a full messaging document of its own, on official letterhead, in the Documents section of this portal.

08Audiences

The Five People We Speak To

Every piece of content is aimed at one of these five people. Know which one before you write a word. The "what they need to hear" line is the heart of the message: say it in your own words, but say that.

The Local Pastor US & International

They want: to multiply disciples and lead revival without burning out.

Their pain: exhaustion, plateaued growth, no discipleship pathway.

"We come to serve your church, not build ours. When we leave, your people stay, on fire and equipped."

First step: host a Revival To My City · train leaders through the School.

The Hungry Church Member The Pew, Awake or Asleep

They want: to grow spiritually and live on mission.

Their pain: dry faith. The conviction that "there must be more."

"There is more, and it isn't a program. It's a real relationship with Jesus, and it starts with turning back to your first love."

First step: join the EVERY1 Movement · start the School.

The Lost Online Searcher 18 to 30 · Digital-First

They want: truth, healing, identity, purpose.

Their pain: anxiety, loneliness, distrust of religion, hungry for what's real.

"What you're looking for has a name. You can have a real relationship with Jesus, starting today."

First step: watch a testimony → request prayer → begin the intro course.

The Legacy Leader 66+ · Finishing Well

They want: to pass the torch and leave their people stronger.

Their pain: feeling forgotten; fear the work dies with them.

"Your fire isn't finished. The next generation needs what you carry."

First step: mentor through the School · cover the movement in prayer · give.

The Kingdom Partner Businesses & Ministries

They want: eternal impact with their influence and resources.

Their pain: unsure whom to trust; tired of shallow ministry.

"Fund what heaven is doing. Every number we report comes from the official record. You will always know exactly what your partnership did."

First step: sponsor a Revival To My City · scholarship School students.

A note on Gen Z (18 to 25): they trust testimony over performance and vulnerability over polish. Lead with real stories of transformation, never with production value. They can smell hype, which is fine, because we don't use it.
09Voice

Voice & Vocabulary

Bold, clear, simple, direct. Pastoral with prophetic urgency. Invitation-first. Short, punchy sentences. Never polished-corporate. Never hype. Never churchy. If a new believer couldn't understand it, rewrite it.

The filter: Would Nathan actually say this? Does it point people to Jesus Himself? Is it clear to a new believer? Does it invite response? If unsure, simplify and center Jesus.

Words we carry. This recurring language is our fingerprint. Use these phrases exactly. They are load-bearing.

PhraseWhat it carries
Real relationship with JesusThe gospel in five words. The good news is not religion. It's Him.
First loveRevelation 3. The heart of every RTMC message: return.
Fire starts fireHow the mission spreads. We burn; the dry catch.
Revival is here, not comingOur posture. We announce a fact, we don't market a hope.
EVERY1 in the church for EVERY1 outside the churchThe whole movement in one line. Always styled EVERY1.
Lighting hearts and seats on fire for JesusWhat a revival meeting does.
Walk with Jesus · turn your heart back to JesusThe invitation, said plainly.
Authority in ChristWhat the School trains. Believers carry power, not permission slips.
The Holy Spirit runs our servicesThe guarantee. There is no routine He can't interrupt.

Words we never use. Three ban categories, with starter lists. These lists are proposals for the v1.0 review: strike or keep each one. Theological words (repentance, salvation, Holy Spirit baptism) are never banned; they are explained. The test is always the filter: clear to a new believer.

Hype
insane · epic · unreal · next-level · game-changer · "God showed up and showed out" · "you won't believe" · walls of 🔥 emojis · ALL-CAPS excitement
Hype manufactures a feeling. We report what God actually did. The record is more powerful than the adjective.
Corporate Polish
leverage · synergy · solutions · optimize · engage stakeholders · "excited to announce" · comprehensive · robust
We are a ministry, not a vendor. Corporate language makes the guide the hero and the mission a product.
Churchy Insider Talk
traveling mercies · hedge of protection · "love on" · "do life together" · "press in" · "contend for breakthrough" · "a God thing" · "fresh anointing" (unexplained) · "blessed to announce"
Insider language tells a new believer this isn't for them. Everything we say is for them.

Rewrites: before and after.

Never thisAlways this
"🔥🔥 INSANE night!! God showed UP and showed OUT!!""Friday night in [city]: [n] people heard the gospel. [n] turned their hearts back to Jesus. The fire is spreading." (numbers from the official record only)
"Join us as we press into a fresh anointing and contend for breakthrough.""Come. Jesus is moving. Bring the person you've been praying for."
"We provide comprehensive discipleship solutions for local church partners.""We train the local church to walk with Jesus."

Standing rules. Short sentences. One idea each. Say Jesus by name, not "faith," not "spirituality." Never invent a statistic, a quote, or a testimony; the record or nothing (Law II). Never manufacture a catchphrase: if a line has to be explained to be catchy, kill it. Invitation before information: every piece ends with something the reader can do.

10Policy

Proof & Testimony Policy

This guide contains no statistics on purpose. Numbers live in one place, the official ministry record, and messaging cites that record rather than freezing figures that will age. Per the Minister Agreement: official numbers only, never estimates, never memory. A guide that hardcodes stats violates Law II the day the record updates; a guide that points to the record never does.

Testimonies: the four slots. Every testimony is a record of what God did: real, consented, and named. Never fabricated, never composited, never anonymous.

Before
Life as it was, in the person's own words.
Encounter
The moment Jesus intervened: where and when.
Transformation
What changed: specific, verifiable, honest.
Outcome
Life now, and the invitation to respond.
11Roadmap

Roadmap Notes

Two future works are noted here so no one invents messaging for them prematurely. Neither receives public messaging until launch, at which point this guide gets a versioned update.

InitiativeStatus & note
School of Supernatural Kingdom Advancement (SOSKA)Future online school on stewardship of the Kingdom of Heaven. Roadmap only: no public messaging until launch.
EVERY1 AppFuture app on the YouVersion model; will not visibly promote the parent (exception on record, Brand Guide §09). Messaging to be written at launch.

Books, music publishing, and clothing are intentionally outside this guide's scope by ruling of August 2026.

Governance & Changelog

Per Law IV, the institution signs its work. This guide changes one way: a proposed edit in writing, approval by Joel and Nathan, a version bump, and a changelog entry. No silent edits, ever.

VersionDateChange
1.0August 2026Initial guide. Rulings on record: fused mission line public with Purpose/Mission/Vision internal · SOSKA roadmap-only · books/music/clothing out of scope. Origin-story fields bracketed pending verification. Banned-word starter lists pending strike/keep review.

Open items for v1.1. Verify and unbracket the origin-story fields (Section 3). Review the three banned-word starter lists (Section 9): strike or keep each entry. Close both, sign, and this guide is fully canonical.
